Open Data and the Circular Economy event with Nesta
The first event that we are doing this fall is hosting a discussion at Nesta exploring the role of open data in developing a Circular Economy.
Its exciting because we don’t think this is a topic that anyone has covered before, but is something that we see it as critical part of a functioning circular economy. Fundamentally we need materials to flow but in order for that to happen, we also need to let information flow. And thats is where open data comes in. We see Open data as all forms of data that are freely shared. But what is considered shared for free, we think exists on a scale from the type of data released by government, which is publicly available, to the type of data that is only shared by organisations in closed communities such as trade associations or by value chains.
The event is hosted by Rob and Mark and includes panel guests such as Dominic Hogg from Eunomia, David Gardener from C-Tec, Matthew Polaine from BT and Nick Cliffe from Closed loop recycling.
